About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer within the Internal Audit Chief Administrative Office (CAO). CAO oversees business management and administration, strategy and planning, communications, emerging risk, reporting, and regulatory relations in support of the Chief Auditor. The Control Office oversees Audit's risk and control framework, including both execution and governance, including the administration of Audit's Risk and Control Committee. The Control Office also ensures our ability to effectively self-govern, where necessary, to maintain our independence as the third line of defense.
In this role, you will:- Help manage Audit's front-line risk by ensuring controls intended to mitigate risk are appropriate and operating effectively
- Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the status of relevant controls
- Contribute to making strategic decisions to resolve complex issues by ensuring all process weaknesses or gaps are identified and remediation plans are supported and acted upon
- Interpret and develop range of policies and procedures for Audit
- Help maintain Audit's Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)
- Contribute to the facilitation of Audit's Risk & Control Committee, including reporting and execution
- Lead and mentor Control Management project teams
- Engage with all levels of roles across the business group, and serve as an experienced advisor in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and controls that mitigate risks and address regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications, US:- 5 years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications- Strong control evaluation/testing and/or Audit experience.
- Experience in assessing risk, drafting, and executing test scripts, identifying gaps between controls and in control execution, assessing issues and trends, and influencing change.
- Strong risk and control fundamentals
- Comprehensive understanding of operational risk management in the financial services industry, including experience in RCSA
- A BS/BA degree or higher
- Solid knowledge and understanding of audit or risk methodologies and supporting tools
- Certification in one or more of the following: CPA, CAMS, CRCM, CIA, CISA or Commissioned Bank Examiner designation
- Experience leading and providing feedback to staff
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Pay Range$111,100.00 - $237,100.00
